DiLiberto Settles With Creditors For 60 Cents On Dollar
Phillip DiLiberto of New Castle Pa fruit and vegetable dealer settled with creditors last week paying 60c on the dollar. He was jailed in Lawrence County on charges of disposing of assets to defraud and is now out on $500 bail with case likely to be heard next month. Local Pittsburgh associations pushed the settlement through the Pittsburgh Produce Credit Association.

Murphy Wins Suit Against Railroads Over Pears
In St Paul February 16 a jury ruled for W A Murphy a St Paul carrot fruit distributor in a dispute over Bartlett pears shipped from Buena Washington in September 1924. The pears were delayed and damaged in transit and Illinois Central declined to pay after freight and commission claims.
