Easier Tone in Apples at Chicago
Chicago, Feb. 18. The apple market slipped to an easier tone this week with fair demand for box and barrel stock and little business done. Weather helped movement, but sellers struggled to move stock except in limited volume. Prices largely unchanged with several declines in boxed Grimes Golden and Winter Bananas and in barreled Baldwins. Quotations span Tolman Sweets to Rock Russets and Newtown Pippins, with Western boxes varied by grade and variety.
