Schweger Dies at Home in Chicago
Chicago, Feb 16. B D Schweger, known nationwide in the fruit and produce industry, died at his home at 1729 Berteau avenue Saturday after a prolonged illness. He suffered a paralytic stroke earlier and died of pneumonia. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Segersten's, with interment in Acacia Park. Schweger was with C A Kerr & Co for years and was past president of the Western Fruit Jobbers Association in 1927-28.

Wenatchee Traffic Association condemns cannings ads
Wenatchee Washington February 16 a strong resolution was unanimously adopted by the Wenatchee Valley Traffic Association at its last meeting condemning the Continental Can Company for an advertising campaign that attacks fresh fruits and vegetables and urges consumers to use canned goods only. The association protested the inference that fresh produce is harmful and sent copies of the resolution to the International Apple Association the American Fruit and Vegetable Shippers Association and the Grange.

Case Under The New Ohio Package Law Is Dropped
Cleveland February 16 two charges against Dave Monash president of the Diamond Fruit Company under the new Ohio package law were dropped. Justice Calhune heard the case. Monash was charged with selling packages not properly marked and refusing to sell inspector Secrest a bag of potatoes for evidence. The inspector testified Monash had not refused and was not present when the potatoes were later obtained. Another dealer was fined eighteen dollars for possessing an unmarked hamper of Florida beans.
