British Apple Price Caps Revised in London Cable
Washington February 7 according to a January 26 cable from Consul General Skinner in London the British Food Ministry canceled prior maximum wholesale apple prices and set new rates per barrel case and per hundredweight with a single 56s rate for imported apples in other packages a shilling equals 24 3 cents and a pence equals 2 4 3 cents

Chicago Feb 7 Trade in citrus fruits was moderate with liberal supplies and an easy market tone. Grapefruit prices held barely steady with Florida offerings at 50.25 for fancy 64 to 96 count, 4.50 to 4.75 for 54 count, and extra fancy stock at a premium. Lemons sold slowly at steady prices. California boxes around 4.5. Western oranges plentiful and prices easy.
