The Interstate Commerce Commission approved an application to waive the long and short haul clause for citrus moving from Florida to New York Philadelphia Baltimore and New England. It authorized a galling day plan with lower rates in origin points on Mondays Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays through July 31 1936. Minimum weight 36000 pounds. If truck and boat charges drop rail rates may be reduced accordingly while keeping revenue at least 12 cents per car mile. Four commissioners dissented noting uneven pricing examples.

Olathe Colorado December reports onion shipments are light with holdings from one to six cars daily. Western slopes shipped over 200 cars and Arkansas valley over 250, with movement evenly split this week. Carrot sales scarce, Valencia prices around 90 cents per 560 pound sack on three inch stock. Growers paid about 1.10 per cwt for Yellow Danvers and Valencias on the western slope, Arkansas valley sales absent. Yellow Danvers on the western slope sold around 77 and a half cents per 50 pound sack on medium stock.
