Denver August 12 Officials of the American Railway Express Company told the Colorado Public Utilities Commission that beginning August 8 express rates on fruit from Western Slope points to Denver Pueblo and Colorado Springs would be 1.20 per 100 pounds a drop of 7e to 65c per cwt. The flat rate matches 1916 levels and replaces previous schedules of 1.85 per cwt for small shipments 1 500 pounds or less 1.51 for larger single shipments and 1.27 on carload lots.
