Fargo N C April 18 five warrants charging William G Knowles head of W G Knowles Co Moorhead with misappropriating 3144 in a contract for five carloads of potatoes bought Feb 20 from Hawley Potato Growers Association were issued by Clay county attorney H T M Stiening. Knowles appeared in Fargo Court for arraignment and was released on 2000 bond. We note the Hawley firm also filed complaints through Ole Dunovold and Frank Sander. Decherd Tennessee April 18 The acreage planted to white potatoes in this section is about the same as last year and will be around 700 acres. Present prospects are for a yield of about 125 cars. The crop will be put up in 100 pound bags and likely will be ready to move beginning around June 20. The plants are just coming up and are in good condition and vigorous. Certified seed was planted.
