Salinas California April 7 reports show the Salinas Watsonville lettuce operation began April 5 with seven cars loaded. Five cars were lost or shipped, and estimated billings rose to 120 cars yesterday. By next week shipments are expected 250 to 300 cars with most plants in Salinas resuming full operation by mid April.
