The document alleges Warren did not deny sheep owned by his company grazed on military reserves and state lands. It accuses him of appointing judges, subsidizing Wyoming papers, and living on federal payroll while serving on Cheyenne city council. It also claims his son’s government salary while in Harvard, others drawing pay without service, and a House investigation into illegal land leases and inflated sheep counts.
Wilson led with 41 votes, Taft 15, Roosevelt 20, Debs 9 in a Cheyenne bound train poll reported by J. W. Allard. Traveling men and workers backed Wilson. Taft backers looked prosperous. Roosevelt supporters blamed Chicago for the stolen nomination. Colonel Stizer rode the train during the tally.
In Bingham Utah 4500 miners walkout while 100 deputy sheriffs guard the area. Governor Spry and the state labor board press for peace and warn against lawbreaking as 6000 pounds of dynamite are stolen. A sheriff led response and possible artillery readiness frame the tense standoff.

Harold Stapleton 12 died when a crab apple tree limb broke while he and John Cassidy shook fruit in the yard of Mrs. J. L. Rockwell at 112 West Twenty-first street. He fell twelve feet striking cement and died shortly after. Survived by his parents, sister Lorretta and brothers John Emmett and Roy. Funeral arrangements pending.
In 1890 Wyoming elected Warren governor with no Senate bid. On the short-term senate race, Warren faced opposition led by McGill who claimed constitutional limits barred a governor from senate service. Warren won on the seventh ballot amid party tensions and gag-law tension, with Albany county largely voting against him.
