Tennessee lawmakers push a new ratification amid governor warnings and a planned special session to address the nineteenth amendment. The governor warned he would pocket measures adopted, while other actions proceed in defiance.
In Cleveland Ohio on September 14 a grieving woman Kathrine careagre cried I want to die and go to my baby after she drowned herself and her child in Lake Erie. She left behind a scrubbing job and a husband who died in January. The incident details a desperate plea and a failed attempt to reunite with her child.
London reports the British admiralty issues an immediate blockade preventing any ship or passenger carrier bound east from entering Queenstown harbor. The order, issued under Ireland restoration regulations, takes effect immediately until further notice.
Windsor Ontario September 14 Sovietism was urged as the proper form of peace by delegate Peter McCallum at the Trades and Labor Congress report on political action. He proposed a workers republic with a broad soviet framework and drew mixed reactions from the audience.
William A. Rowand aged 23 died after placing his hand on a motor switch in the rear of a pool room at the Union Pacific shop in Cheyenne. He was found with his hand on the switch and unable to free himself. He died en route to the emergency ward. two doctors arrived after, with a slight finger discoloration noted as the only visible sign of the current. His uncle Frank Berkeley is the surviving relative in Cheyenne.
Casper Wyoming officials report enrollment approaching 2500 with large numbers of new pupils in the city’s schools. Schools have added seats in Central and West Casper and the library children’s room is rented again to handle overflow despite recent expansions.

Funeral services for Mrs Ina Brennan will be held at 3 o'clock after noon at the Early Bricker Broad chapel with Rev Bruce Jackson in charge. Burial will follow at Lakeview. Mrs Brennan died Monday night.
Denver and statewide polls show Carl C. Schuyler leading Samuel D. Nicholson for the U S Senate nomination with 8 036 vote edge from 100 Denver precincts and 45 others. Rice W Means trails Nicholson. Democratic race also features Tully Scott leading for the nomination with 308 votes from 40 precincts.
New York on September 14 a Republican leader forecast a sweeping loss for Cox in Maine. He claimed the general would win a Senate majority of at least ten and a House at least 53 seats, arguing Maine signals the worst defeat in election history and Ohio will follow.
Douglas Cordiner of Laramie has been promoted to full colonel in the United States Army. A naval academy graduate, he served in the navy before transferring to the coast artillery and now joins the quartermaster corps with rank from July 1.

The alleged losses total hundreds of thousands of dollars. Julian Gillcapie of Dallas, Texas, once a captain in the American army, was named counsel for the prisoners. The accused protest that others in charge of funds should face accountability.
Paris reports Miss Olive Thomas, noted American actress, killed herself by bichloride of mercury. Her body was taken to Holy Trinity church for burial in the United States. no funeral services will be held.
Wyoming State Fair dawned with warm weather and large attendance in Douglas. Exhibits of stock grain and vegetables filled spaces, wild west stunts and a five mile auto race led by Jay Stock of Casper in a Buick. Shriners day drew about seven hundred members and a parade through downtown with the Cheyenne drum corps among participants.

He accuses opponents of a political plot while urging nonpartisan action and reform of taxes, claiming funds oppose him are raised by 2 percent holding wealth. He travels from Nampa to Ontario Welser Payette Caldwell Meridian and reaches Utah campaign stops near Brigham City.
