Amsterdam dispatch reports Vienna treats the papal peace proposal as a basis for negotiations. It notes conciliatory language on occupied territory arbitration disarmament and Balkan questions while demanding allied willingness for joint benevolent talks. Publication awaits papal nuncio approval in Vienna.
Italian troops gained control of Dol and Gargaro basin and occupy Monte San Gabriele after fierce fighting in the Tarnovo forest region.
