Long Term In Pen For Felonious Assault

In district court Judge Matson heard Reuben Seals plead guilty to felonious assault for shooting his cousin Anna Dyer at her O'Neil Street home. Seals received 4 to 8 years in the state penitentiary. George Hamlin, a Senate saloon porter, admitted embezzlement of $30 and was sentenced to 12 to 13 months in prison.

Ship Regulus Wreck Off Johna N F

News of the wreck of the steamer Regulus bound from Belle Island to Sydney follows heavy storm. The vessel broke down, was towed 36 miles from Bay of Bulls, but disappeared in fog and dark. By daylight the Regulus lay a total wreck near Shoal Bay with eighteen confirmed drowned and crew losses uncertain.

Pflaeging to Leave State Vet Post for Douglas Farm Role

W F Pflaeging state veterinarian will resign January 1 to become secretary treasurer and general manager of the Douglas Farm Products company of Douglas. He has led the venture since its formation last June, with local businessmen backing a $250 000 capitalization. The firm operates on land under the North Platte Valley Irrigation company canal in Wyoming.

Balloon search for lost pilots nets in St Louis aid

Oct 24 report notes Atlan Hawley and Agustis Post missing with the balloon America I. Aero Club of St Louis aims to locate them by Wednesday morning with balloon St Louis I. Hunteville Ontario. Burglary Narrowly Punished in Model Bakery Case

Ral dolph Kour white man pleaded guilty to burglarizing the Model bakery on Sixteenth street Sunday afternoon. Judge Matzon sentenced him to state prison for 12 to 14 months. Kour had slept in Shaffer rooming house before the crime and entered the basement with the proprietor. The case continues on page 8.

Democratic Rally Set at Capitol Avenue Theatre

Burdick's Hold-out on Wyoming Fees Question

The American Live Stock and Loan Company charged with fee payments to Wyoming says their attorney C W Burdick received $2,870.75 four months ago to settle with the state but has not paid. Burdick, now a Republican state central committee chairman, reportedly has not remitted the funds. Why remains unclear.
