A head on collision on the Berlin Brookline between the New York New Haven Hartford Railroad and the Middletown bound streetcar near the depot fatally injured Ralph J. Mideotarsh editor of the Middletown Peony Press and left Max Glass Otto St Arnold and Miss Fryneet Blorion seriously hurt with eight others injured.
