Cheyenne plans a combined semi centennial and frontier demonstration tied to Frontier Days. The four day Frontier Days events expand to a full week with a historical pageant an old time reunion and a home coming. Archie Allison to appoint a committee to begin preparations immediately for the extended celebration.
A section of Front Street collapsed into an old coal mine at Rock Springs during morning hours, creating a hole the width of the street and about seventy feet deep. No injuries were reported as the street was crowded but people avoided the area. The cave-in exposed water-filled workings and rotting timbers, with owners likely disputing causation.
Governor John B. Kendrick welcomes the State Teachers Association to Cheyenne for its annual convention. About 800 teachers fill the public school gym to hear speeches, plays, and remarks on education and service. Miss Civilization, staged by Cheyenne high students, features Alice Gardner, Margaret Grier, Robt. Clark, Brick Meakin, and Lawrence Truekey in key roles.

Buck Thomas, a Black man, was accused of entering the home of Austin Bishop on March 23 and attacking Bishop and his wife with a lab, injuring both. He was seized from a deputy sheriff near Clarksville and hanged last night.
