In Seattle Washington on November 20 the American Federation of Labor committee on adjustment reviews jurisdictional disputes and petty issues that have sparked strikes. The session signals possible votes to settle these matters, while other reports push for federal probes into land usage by copper firms and ongoing Brotherhood splits. Election of officers is set for Friday with Gompers and Morrison expected to win reelection. John White may become an alternate vice president as internal contest continues.

A military court will convene under Major EB Boughton. A separate note mentions a negro remarking on the cost of propagating vegetation and marriage implications.
Denver Nov 20 More than 80 percent of the Colorado and Southern Railroad stock was represented at the annual meeting by proxy. Directors elected to the ensuing year include A D Parker of Denver and several New York and Chicago residents. The present board continues in office, with a board meeting in New York soon to consider re election of officers.

Washington reports President Wilken sent to the senate the nomination of Louis Behalk for postmaster of Rawlins Wyoming. The confirmation is expected soon. Behalk is a longtime Wyoming Democrat and longtime Rawlins resident with prior service as a depot master.
Washington Nov 20 Final preparations were made for a Senate battle over currency reform bills based on the same theory. The banking and currency committee plans three proposals with Glass-Owen in play. Main aims include federal reserve banks issuing currency backed by commercial paper and a federal reserve board directing the system. Party lines differ on regional bank counts and control structure.
In Chicago on November 20 a verdict found James Regn and C P Bertuche connected to an operating clairvoyant ring that swindled Mrs Hope L McBidowney of New Salem Wisconsin for 18000 dollars. Ryan known as Prof Charles T Crane aided profits of the ring, which detectives say yielded over a million dollars across several midwestern cities. The case followed Ryan’s arrest near Look state as authorities sought extradition and Mrs McBidowney helped officers return him to face trial.
