Ex Officer Is Badly Beaten in Sheridan Saloon Incident

Peter Heck former policeman was brutally attacked by six soldiers in a saloon midway between town and Port Mackenzie. He had served eighteen months on the force and made enemies among soldiers for strict enforcement of ordinances.
