Burlington Plans Over $2 Million Wyoming Improvements

Burlington will invest more than 2 million dollars in Wyoming during the coming months. The plan, announced by John F. Vallery, includes track work at Casper, Douglas, Greybull, Lovell and other points to boost freight capacity and passenger service through Wyoming to Yellowstone. An inspection tour by Burlington executives in Cheyenne outlined the projects and new routes.

Jacob Freeborn Dies in Cheyenne at 68

Jacob D. Freeborn a Cheyenne resident for 35 years and leading Wyoming financier died at his home 801 East Seventeenth Street after illness. Born June 17 1848 in New York City he worked with Jay Cooke's bank and later served in the war department before moving to Cheyenne to join the Brackrowers bank. He served 23 years as cashier and was a prominent Mason and treasurer of Scottish Rite bodies.
