Real murder case leads to first trial for Pearson

Fort Collins authorities say Clyde B H Pearson is the real culprit and Grey an unwitting youth in a murder case over Sheriff Prank B Roach and Niels D Nal een. District Attorney Fleming asks for Pearson to be tried first. arraignments held with Pearson to be defended by Thomas YF Wr adshaw and L R Temple. Pearson pleads not guilty, Grey shows penitence, and a special jury panel is planned for the looming trial set for June 12.

Robbery Scandal Hits Wyoming Reform School

Harry Stine and Miles Fitzgerald, tied to the Wyoming Industrial Institute at Worland, are jailed on larceny and embezzlement and receiving stolen property charges respectively. Investigators say property, including harness, tools, fence posts, and even a tenement house portion, was siphoned to a nearby ranch, with boys at the institute allegedly ordered to help load and move items during a long running scheme. Annual Uninspection of Fire Department Parade Inspect

The regular volunteer fire department will be inspected Tuesday morning. After a Memorial Day parade, city commissioners will inspect both the regular and volunteer units led by Chief Taylor and Chief Patlout at the Central Fire Station at 10 o clock.

Funeral Services for Jacob D. Freeborn Tuesday

Funeral services for the late Jacob D. Freeborn who died Friday evening at his residence S01 East Seventeenth Street will be held Tuesday morning at 8 20 from St. Mark's Episcopal Church. National Guard Officers Break Camp at Ft Russell

The Wyoming National Guard Second Battalion officers and NCOs wrap up a weeklong camp one mile north of Fort Russell. Companies C Cheyenne Wheatland Pouglee and Alton completed a structured training under Lieutenant Luther James with Colonel Blrney and Major Audermeon directing. A similar school was conducted for the First Battalion with the Rebo at during the week.
