In Evanston Wyoming on May 26 a shepherd dog owned by F W Garner 79 guarded his dead master for ten days subsisting on a dead horse nearby. Passers by attracted by the dog's vigil tried to aid but the animal first prevented access until Dick Jones finally approached. Garner lived alone in Bridger valley for forty years and died of heart failure while walking to a neighbor.
