Roosevelt Aide Denies Drinking Excessively
Dr Abbott testifies Roosevelt drinks only milk at meals with four or five glasses in a serving. He notes Roosevelt never uses brandy or whisky unless prescribed and drinks beer only in Europe. The claim began after a Salina Kansas paper alleged intoxication during Osawatomie speech. Warfield Jr and Roosevelt supporter sent the editorial and a letter to Colonel Roosevelt.
