Carpathian battlefield reports say a major, bloody clash continues with both sides fiercely contesting. Przemysl’s fall is cited as a turning point, while Dardanelles defenses are described as near collapse and imminent capitulation.

Reports say Russians are moving prisoners rearward, feeding civilians, tending the wounded, and likely cannot divert forces soon. Mrs Mary Anna Jackson widow of Gen Stonewall Jackson died at a Charlotte home this morning after weeks of illness. Born July 21 1849 near Bartow City the daughter of Rev Robert Hall Morrison founder of a college she attended Salic academy and college. She wrote memoirs after her husband died of wounds in 1863 and left two daughters and a son.
A shipment of bridge material for the Burlington has been received and stored in Kearney yards. The project plans a rebuilt bridge across the Platte east of Kearney with stronger supports and heavier rails to support main line trains.
On March 24 many women were bruised and scratched and a rider was seriously injured when a pillar failed at Weedwen circle during a Weedwen convention at the Armory ball. Firesien assisted injured guests from ladders as others were kept from jumping. About four feet dropped. PMID: Vive bum dred were in eitendance.

Tokyo dispatch reports that Japan presented 21 demands to China with plans to withdraw 11 and keep 10. It says the 11 would provoke opposition, letting Japan present a diplomatic victory by withdrawing them while pushing the remaining ten demands.
Washington reports the United States still awaits Japan's answer to the note on the Chinese Soben door. Officials said the reply may be delayed until negotiations between the Japanese ambassador at Peking and the Chinese foreign office on current demands are finished. Continued on Page Two.

He warned that optimistic wartime trade promises would not endure and warned of a eventual need to import to maintain trade balance. He noted lower livestock prices, rising meat exports, transportation fears, and ongoing market uncertainties affecting beef and pork values.
Wyoming State Fair commissioners will meet in Douglas around April 12 to map the season and award contracts for planned construction. They aim to launch a vigorous 1915 fair campaign, attract pioneers for old-time reunions, and showcase Wyoming’s agriculture livestock and mining to draw eastern visitors.

Davenport police report a 42 year old washerwoman J Vick jumped into the river Murfreesboro from Crescent bridge late night. Onlookers say she appeared disoriented and washed downstream traveling with the current. Firemen recovered her body, and authorities considered the case a possible suicide.
Vera Cruz dispatch from Antonio Villareal Carranza envoy says Carranza forces blew up a train near Fortlon between Monterey and Tampico injuring several hundred and wrecking cars. Villareal notes major assault planned with Banjarin Hill and Polite coordinating troops.
