Laramie County teachers push for higher pay to avert shortages
Superintendent Anna M. Dobbin warns Wyoming counties face critical school conditions with 81 vacancies and many districts unable to open or operate fully. She cites 424 rural one room schools, 69 opened, 52 late, 84 teachers needed since September, and warns salaries must rise or next year will see further closures. A special Cheyenne meeting of the County Association of District School Boards will discuss the salary crisis.
