Kendrick Seeks Easier Access to Noncontiguous Homestead Land
Senator John B. Kendrick introduced Senate Bill 2493 to amend the stock raising homestead law. The proposal would allow settlers already on dry land to add up to 640 acres noncontiguously without a second residence if they continue to reside on their original entry, addressing complaints about the current requirement. The bill, referred to the Public Lands Committee, follows Kendrick’s appointment to fill a vacancy.
