Two newborn babies, a girl and a boy, were found decomposing in a latrine at 1900 O'Neil Street by workmen cleaning the pit. Coroner and police investigated, with no arrests, as authorities questioned possible links to prior fliers and unsettled cases.
Miss Eunice Anderson, state historian, received word of the death of her nephew Edwin Carey, 16, who drowned while swimming in a whirlpool. Edwin was the son of Mrs Carey, who visited Cheyenne last summer for health and had traveled with him. Mrs Carey had previously lost an older son in the war.
