The Cheyenne Indians and the Fort Tusell team meet this afternoon at Pioneer Park with a 25 cent admission. Both teams have not met before and fans expect a large crowd as Cheyenne fans hunger for baseball amid speculation on relative merits.
Washington post office instructions state that after July 1 unused 2 cent envelopes and Bo postil cards may be exchanged at full value for other envelopes or stamped paper by the original owner. No cash redemption. After a one month grace, only actual postage value will be allowed in exchange.
A special conference of Republican party electors in California adopted a resolution recommending to the national convention that Hiram W. Johnson be nominated for president. The action occurred in San Francisco on June 14. The meeting was attended by delegates and adherents of the party.

Reports indicate medals issued with German government consent to men who aided the sinking of a vessel. Many stories describe the medals as official recognitions, with most sent to Washington. Details remain unclear, but the note references a bronze issue.
The Centennial Oil Company announces readiness to drill in Goshen Wole district with offices in Torrington and Burns. Headquarters are in Torrington. The firm owns four sections of land about 70 miles north, with nearby quarters. Drilling equipment includes 4000 feet of casing and casing diameter standards, as they proceed to drill 3000 acres.
The Centennial work is led by Havas Drilling Co. which has 13 years on Bowmanian fields for Standard Oil and ties to Ble Muddy people. Cheyenne businessmen hold stock as the project aims to reach Wall Creek sands at 2,800 feet and oil sands at 3,300 feet with a low risk of early production. If no oil is found, operations may drop to the Dakers sands 600 feet lower. They plan overland casing haul with three trucks and have purchased used casing from the Harrishure well project 40 miles east.
