Rise of Fred Lear and Frisch links Giants fate
Sport Snap Shots traces the unlikely pairing of Fred Lear and Franklin Frisch, from Fordham sandlots to pro ranks. Lear shifts from Cubs to Giants. Frisch rises via Fordham Prep and Wall Street stint, with war era schooling shaping his Giants trial and debut. Babe Ruth’s fewer homers and Red Sox star trades also loom in this social baseball panorama.
