San Francisco June 4. Prosecutor H Samuel F. Scott alleges Patrick Calhoun was involved in a plot to manufacture evidence favorable to United Railroads officials. A basement gasoline explosion in the Harris residence in Redlands California at noon today wrecked the large house and fatally burned Virginia Harris eighteen the daughter with others injured in the blast authorities said.

A suspected rabid squirrel attacked 7-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs R B Haymon in Auburn Nebraska on June 4 biting her ankles. The animal then bit Mrs Haymon who killed it with a broom. Local authorities noted the incident and the squirrel was sent for testing.
Topeka June 4 Governor Stubble ordered the union labor clause removed from bids for repair work. He said the move does not intend to bar honest labor and expects labor leaders to protest. A protest likely will be drafted and sent to the governor.
