Honolulu June 3 After up to twenty years in the Molokai leper colony ten of eleven lepers retained for re examination were found free of the disease. They range in age from twenty seven to seventy nine and may seek return to the island if allowed.
Tony Caponi of Chicago was knocked out by Stanley Ketcher in the fourth round of a ten round scheduled fight before the American Athletic club in Schenectady New York. Ketchel dominated from the start delivering heavy blows while Caponi was unable to ward off the champ. Caponi was knocked down in the second round and four times in the fourth before the final knock out.
Federal Judge Lewie denied a motion to quash indictments against L. M. Rumey of St. Louis W. Keitel of Denver and several Colorado and Missouri capitalists charged with fraudulently acquiring 6000 acres of coal land in Routt county The trial is set for the first Tuesday in July.
Philadelphia June 3 The strike of motormen and conductors of the Rapid Transit Co continues with incidents at noon as workers threw bricks at carmen. For the first time some elevated road employees joined the strikers. Surface cars ran intermittently until nightfall and no service was restored. Politicians moved to end the trouble.

Sheridan Wyoming June 4 The Kate Craig Construction company of Omaha has completed a 250000 waterworks system for Sheridan including a seven mile pipeline and the system will be turned over to the city in a day.

Frankfort Kentucky June 4 a black man named John Maxey shot B C Bow ere a circus man last night then was taken from jail early today by a mob. The jail door was broken down and Maxey was hanged from the St Clair street bridge. Bow ers is in critical condition. His home is in Valdosta Georgia.
King James finished first with Restigouche second and Celt third in the 23d Brooklyn Handicap. The 2 04 time set a new record, a fifth of a second faster than Colt’s mark last year.
