Burlington line to open between Powder River and Thermopolis
Denver July 12. The Gulf-to-EFound line of the Burlington will open for traffic around Oct 1. Vice president H E Byram and a delegation inspected the work on the 70 mile stretch south of Thermopolis Wyoming where track is laid at about a mile a day. Officials expect a through line Galveston to Seattle before snow. Crops along the line are better this year and overall traffic is not as heavy as last year, but harvest size will influence future tonnage and development. Police Auto With Injured Strikes Curb
After a circus accident James Coates of the fire department drove a city police car injuring two women and the chief of police. He attempted to avoid a dog turning onto Seventeenth Street from Eddy the vehicle skidded and struck the curb at about twelve miles per hour. Two spokes broke but no other damage occurred and new wheels were fitted.
