Laramie County Rancher Tours Iowa Trip Reports Crop Conditions
Laramie County rancher 8. L. Morrison and family traveled by car to Chariton Iowa noting Lincoln Highway conditions and varying crop prospects. He found winter wheat poor for the first 150 miles east of Cheyenne but excellent from miles 150 to 200, with spring wheat oats and other crops promising well. He observed little old corn in western Iowa cribs and extensive corn acreage. Corn behind normal development but likely to yield bumper if favorable weather continues.
