Buffalo Man Hit by Lightning Survives Serious Injury

Perry Snodgrass superintendent of construction on the Hazelton government road was struck by lightning while riding between the Big Muddy and Hagerton. He suffered a severe leg wound and head injury but survived. Forest Ranger Faubion and T W Waugh were unharmed, and Snodgrass was rushed to Buffalo for treatment.

Berlin Bank Files Claim Against the U S War Relief Funds

The Deutches Bank of Berlin claims 20 239 marks about 5 000 in interest on war relief drafts drawn by Ambassador Gerard and advanced by the bank at 7 percent. The Treasury comptroller says the amount may be paid from a 2 600 000 war relief appropriation. The Sputsch bank arranged drafts and held them. they were not sent to the U S for collection. The bank states no profit was charged or received on these dealings.
