Pilots Yager and other travelers move through the local airfield with brief delays.
London reports the resignation of Rodger N. Sweetman from the Irish Republican parliament after a deep policy split with fellow members. Sinn Fein notes his departure signals a clash with the peace movement in which Sweetman and Father O Flanagan were prominent. A Dublin source says a Dail Eireann meeting debated peace versus continued struggle, with Sweetman the sole advocate for peace.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rice were held this morning at the residence at 56 followed by a requiem high mass at St Marys Cathedral at 9. Rev. James A Kartman officiated. Pallbearers included Joe Cahill Chas Emberg John Nolan Ben O Connell Thomas Walsh and Frank Bon. Interment followed at Olivet Cemetery.
