Prisoner Taken to Sheridan in Wyoming Murder Case
Frank Wilkinson, 35, a Gillette rancher, was rushed by Campbell county deputies to Sheridan after being arrested on a murder warrant for James F. Carlton who was killed June 8, 1919. Carlton, shot from brush along Cow Creek, died ten days after the ambush. Ralph Wilkinson, a brother, faced earlier charges and was later jailed for assaulting Carlton’s daughter.

Washington, Jan. 18. Representative Young of North Dakota rebuked certain American business interests seeking steep import duties as the Ways and Means Committee revisions moved forward. He warned against duties from 100 to 400 percent above Payne Aldrich rates and pledged to oppose licensing such imports.
