Wilbur Newland stock raiser paid 90 a ton previously, then bought Burt Whiting’s entire hay crop for 8 a ton and Steve Harrison’s ranch stock for 22 a ton, reflecting abundant crop levels.

Unloaded Gun Snuffs Life of Indian Boy in Lander

In Lander Wyoming on January 8 14 year old Harry Nichols aimed an unloaded rifle at his 14 year old cousin Francis Pearson and fired killing him. The gun had been left loaded by Harrys father who had warned against leaving shells in the weapon. The accident is part of multiple prior deaths in the family from drowning and other incidents.
