Police Believe That Smith Shot Palmer
Police say Smith is suspected of fatally shooting Sam T. Palmer at Palmer's home on Snyder street. Palmer died after being shot through the door as he tried to close it. Smith was arrested near Seven tenth street and Pioneer avenue and a revolver matching the event was found. Mrs Palmer identified the victim’s killer as a tall man, and two informants described a six foot man in a Mackinaw jacket.
