Suspect, described as a negro, is at large after Palmer, a well known Cheyenne resident aged 27, was shot through his front door. The killing occurred as Mrs. Palmer briefly left home, two shots fired, one through the body. Police and coroner investigated with few leads, motives unclear, Palmer had worked for wild west entertainer Charles Irwin and earlier for Jim Askins along with local ranchers.
