Robbers Gac Four Then Take 12000 in Mine Heist

Mexican bandits bound four men at the Sarah Pinta mine in Sonora’s Altar district last Monday night and escaped with gold bullion worth 12000. James Campbell, mine manager’s son, was forced to open the gate before all were knocked unconscious. Investigators allege Gibson attempted another intrusion at 8 15 p m on the same night before Mrs. Jones was assaulted. James F Y Phagan reported a colored soldier tried to enter his home on 20th Street his daughter raised an alarm and Mr Phagan and his daughter identified Gibson as the intruder.

Lucky Boy Wins Dollar Prize in Leader Guess

Parachute Jump From Statue of Liberty Torch

F Rodman Law, a New York steeplejack, leaped 245 feet from the torch of the Statue of Liberty using a parachute. He landed safely on the frozen grass below after a dramatic descent witnessed by 200 onlookers and a moving picture crew. Law, who earned 1400 dollars for the stunt, said he plans to jump from the Eiffel Tower in Paris next summer.
