Greybull Wyoming hosts a large town celebration on September 2 with invited neighbors. Frank Mondell and John B. Kendrick named as speakers. A baseball game and amusements are planned. Burlington offers a special rail rate for attendees in the Big Horn basin.
The notice invites neighbors and friends to an open smoker at Fraternal Hall tonight with good music. It promotes a friendly community event and broad attendance.
Sheridan Wyoming event announces wild horse races daily at the fair with horses never saddled or ridden before. Fourteen races planned including a cowboy relay with Yellow Brow a Crow Indian contestant and farmer relay wagon races. Automobiles allowed on grounds for the first time this year as track and facilities receive upgrades.
The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph line from Cooper to Sheridan, about 220 miles, reaches 82 miles south of Buffalo and is expected in Buffalo in about two months depending on weather. Fifty workers and multiple teams haul poles, wire, and cross arms 100 miles from Clearmont. future shipments will come from Sheridan.
The Mountaine States Telephone and Telegraph Company has completed plotting the city of Aberida and will break ground soon for a new exchange at the southwest corner of Brooks and Prandage streets. Manager Fenton says work will move quickly after initiation with chief engineer M. Mariment to inspect the project before the company expands plans to nearby towns.
The convict labor camp near Cody Wyoming, within six miles, will be moved early next week to the Meeteetse vicinity. The route uses the northern Cody road by the Vouw farm and old Meeteetse highway. Cody penitents may take their act to the camp and bring boys to town for trips to the Shoshone dam. Two soldiers released early from sentence reduced the road force.
Cody Wyoming August 28 The county club will meet next Monday evening and a large attendance is urged for important fair matters. The Enterprise is urged to have Park County fair association incorporators meet to elect directors and cooperate in exhibition preparations as time runs short.
A one armed man visited the Bee Hive store thrice on Monday buying three dozen handkerchiefs each time. He then appeared blind with a woman guiding him as they sold handkerchiefs for profit. The pair were scammers, evading police, and have since left the city. The piece ends with an unrelated notice about diarrhea remedies.
