Crew extinguished the blaze and Fisher was confined. He is held for observation at the naval hospital as other German agents and American officers on board react to the incident.
Paris April 17. A French express train carrying American troops collided head on with a stationary peach soldiers train near LeMans. Fourteen Americans and six French soldiers were killed and twenty-five Americans and twenty two Frenchmen injured.

Colonel Young is well known to Cheyenne having been stationed at Fort Russell with the Ninth cavalry a few years ago. He is a man of fine interest and an author of severe works of merit.

Venice California April 17 Andrew Curry aviation instructor and Frank Zebola a pupil died when their dual control plane went into a tailspin and crashed into a residence section of the city. The instructor said the pupil clung to the controls preventing escape to safety. The plane fell about 2000 feet and the crash is under investigation. San Antonio April 17 F Jones of Brooklyn died from injuries after a plane he lie in with Lieut Sherry crashed at Kelley Field. Sherry was lightly injured in the same accident.
Disputes from Constantinople report the American committee for Armenian and Syrian relief describes thousands of Christian women and children freed from Turkish harems in Asia Minor. Many sheltered, but several hundred wander destitute, some crazed by hunger. Telegrams seek aid for these women and children, while Turks allegedly abandon Armenian girls to Moslem upbringing. Relief workers dispatched supplies and obtained funds to meet the emergency.
Miss Mary Polders died yesterday afternoon at the home of her niece Mrs. C K B Myatt at 424 Thirty third Street The body will be taken to Colorado Springs for burial leaving tomorrow Funeral services will be held Monday She is survived by a nephew in Cheyenne L C Huntoon and two sisters Mrs J H Huntoon of Martello Iowa and Elisabeth Brown who arrived in Springs Wednesday She had resided at her home during the period of her illness.
