Harrisburg September 13. Governor Stone President Mitchell and district presidents end all night talks with a closing statement claiming friendly discussions. Stone reportedly offered terms for Mor gan to settle the strike but exact terms remained secret. A first proposal urged miners to return Monday with later offsets to be readied, Mitchell opposing any return under those conditions. A more liberal plan was also presented for consideration by labor leaders.
A Dallas fire at So nora last night caused about $75,000 in property damage and raged with difficult containment before being checked.
Denver Sept 14 The Republican state convention nominated Canon City resident James H. Peabody for governor by acclamation after an orderly session. Franklin E. Brooks was named for congressman, with Warren Haggett James Cowie John Holmberg and Whitney Newton among others chosen for state offices. The platform praises Roosevelt and irrigation laws, endorses centralized power regulation, endorses Philippine policy, and condemns the Democratic administration. All sessions reported harmonious.

The count was Tullio’s brother in law, and the son says the murder aimed to avenge alleged wrongs to his sister. Police cannot reach Murri in Sarvia due to no extradition treaty.
Al Strosnider of Casper says his wife left with musician Jenry Thompson in six weeks. The couple traveled to Havre Montana and Hayre where the wife was confronted by Strosnider’s daughter. She planned to return but fled again at eight with her lover and rode forty miles into Montana.
