Four city plumbers walked out this morning despite Plumbers Union No. 224 opposing a strike. The local lodge and executive board had withdrawn the eight hour day demand, while two workers with P. S. Cook and two with E. C. Nash & Son left their positions. Employers may recall them. no other action was planned. Tomorrow the Carpenters’ ultimatum to the Master Builders Association takes effect. Mrs. Omann of the Salvation Army to speak on Rescue Homes Friday night at the barracks, noting high rescue rates.

City Improvement Association backs Cheyenne boulevard trees
At a Citizens Tree Committee meeting in Cheyenne, 860 trees have been planted with 500 more planned. The plan covers eight blocks on the Boulevard from Ferguson street to the east cemeteries and four more on Seymour street. Total cost for 22 blocks is about $900. about $650 has been raised and two to three hundred dollars more is needed. Subscriptions are listed from local banks, businesses, and citizens, including Carey, Murray, Morris, Stockgrowers Bank, First National Bank, and Daily Leader among others.
