John Clay notes at the Cheyenne federal dry farming experiment farm that irrigated plots produced strong wheat stands while dry plots produced little germination. He cites a stark contrast between watered and dry ground, with an exception of a vigorous green patch. Peas on fall watered soil germinated fully after May rains. alfalfa looks solid. Potatoes unsettled but expected soon.

Clarke W. Florence, a prisoner pursued by Sheriff RE. D. Gilson of Ritzville Washington, vanished after escaping Tuesday near Pittsfield Illinois. A storm sewer near the depot hid the fugitive who appeared Wednesday night inquiring about eastbound trains, shedding no trace since.

The City of Cheyenne announces a tax sale of real estate and lands in Cheyenne on Friday July 10 1908 between 1 am and 5 pm at the Court House. Delinquent properties for unpaid improvements and special assessments will be offered until all are sold. Sale follows city ordinances and Wyoming law.
The State of Wyoming County of Laramie City of Cheyenne will conduct a public sale of delinquent special assessments for sewer improvements. The sale occurs between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the day, for parcels in Cheyenne with taxes penalties and costs due.
