Special to The Leader. Lander Wyoming June 24 J Kerwin a Fremont county boy who enlisted in the navy a year ago has been promoted to gunner's mate on the battleship Alabama and has charge of a 13 inch gun. Kerwin says life at sea on a Yankee battleship beats any shore job he ever saw.
