West Point marks its centennial with returning alumni visiting former cadet rooms and sharing reminiscences. Distinguished southern soldiers join an informal reunion as the gala week begins. On Wednesday the president cabinet officials and army navy representatives will attend.
The Neosho river flood washed out a Katy tracks section north of Makes An Island Kansas isolating the water works and electric plant on a new island. The flood swelled three miles wide submerging fair grounds and forcing several families in Elm Creek’s south part to move.
