The Oldsmobile runabout Old Steady overtakes Old Scout across Wyoming. Old Steady passes Laramie at 2 pm while Old Scout reached Rawlins at 4 pm yesterday. by nightfall Old Steady trails 81 miles behind if trends hold. Percy Megrei reports the car in fine condition and confident of overtaking Portland bound leader.

Hon. N. R. Davis announces that the Wyoming Humane Society will prosecute Cheyenne horse owners driving lame or incapacitated animals. Special deputies are appointed to enforce the action and prevent further cruelty by forcing animals to work in unfit condition.
Fatal Shot Through Door In Gillette Room Ambush
Al Dodd was shot by Bert Alden Thursday morning while attempting to force entry into Alden’s room. Dodd died the same evening from the wound. both men are well known Gillette residents. The incident was reported from Newcastle via Gillette.
