Forest Parks in British Columbia in 1989
As of July 1989 BC had 6.2 million hectares of parkland, about 6.5% of the province. Roughly 86% of parks, or 5.4 million hectares, are BC Provincial Parks and Wilderness Areas managed by the Ministry of Parks for recreation and natural resource protection.
