Drescher Drives Through A Sugarcoated Fairy Tale Film
A jokey review likens Fran Drescher in Beautician to an Energizer Bunny, playing Joy Miller a beautician instructor who heroically saves rodents during a school fire and wins over tyrant Boris Pechenko. The critique faults the thin plot, flat ending, and unremarkable performances, noting the film lacks the sacrifice or depth of classic musicals.
