Pioneer Days honours long-time resident Kennedy
Joyce Kennedy, a 69-year-old resident, receives the Pioneer of the Year Award at the Pine Valley Exhibition Centre for her decades in the Chetwynd area since arriving in 1934 as a six year old. She recalls sleigh travel over a frozen Peace River and notes vast local changes from horses to highways and an airport.
