Nominations closed at 4 p m Oct 15 for Municipal Regional District and School Board elections in Chetwynd. Mayor contenders are Charlie Lasser and Bob Shirley. Councillors named Ray Cunningham Curtis Dahl Dori Martin Bob Nicholson Thor Prucks Bob Reid Lance Ritter Wayne Rose six to be elected for three years. Coats sought as winter drive at Chetwynd Dry Cleaners
Cathy Bertelsen Wendy and Dean Martin of Chetwynd Dry Cleaners launch a coat swap to repurpose unused coats and jackets. Starting October 20 residents can bring items to 4728 52nd Ave. All donated coats will be cleaned and donors receive a 15 percent dry cleaning coupon. Pacific Western Transportation supplies coffee and hot chocolate for visitors.
