National Figure Skating Week runs October 24 to 30 with events for preschoolers, juniors, and seniors. The Little Giant Figure Skating Club hosts skating parties, a lottery fundraiser, member reunions, family skating, and a Sunday skatathon with a guest personality to close the week.

Missing Hartley Bay petroglyphs shock BC heritage
Three native Indian rock carvings weighing about 300 pounds were illegally removed from a site near Hartley Bay on British Columbia's northern coast.
